Central House 1, Ancient Epidavros

Central House 1 is a compact, apartment-style stay in Ancient Epidavros, Greece, set at Γήπεδο Λιμάνι, an area that keeps you close to the town’s everyday rhythm and the coast. This is the kind of base that suits solo explorers and couples who want to move at their own pace, with the comfort of an in-home living space and a kitchen for simple breakfasts or light meals. Guests also mention the Japanese garden on-site as a quiet counterpoint to archaeology days, and the air conditioning helps when the afternoons get warm. For connectivity, free wired internet is available, which is useful if you’re checking plans or working between outings.

The reviews average 9.4/10 from nine guests, with visitors repeatedly pointing to the calm feel of the property and the practical setup for independent travel. People describe it as straightforward rather than fussy, and several note that having parking options matters in this part of the Peloponnese, where self parking may come with a surcharge and offsite parking can be discounted.

If you’re here for the classics, the Ancient Epidaurus Theatre is about 1.5 km away and the Sanctuary of Asclepius is roughly 1.6 km, letting you plan early visits without long drives. For a different kind of day, Kalamaki Beach is around 4 km from Central House 1, where the pace slows and the coastline becomes the focus. With internet access and thoughtful on-site downtime, this apartment works best for travelers who prioritize location, independence, and a peaceful atmosphere over hotel-style services.
