Emvassis Art Nil, Elefterna

Emvassis Art Nil is a small, quiet stay in Elefterna, Greece, set on Ελεύθερνας and oriented toward the surrounding mountain-and-garden landscape. The property’s Japanese garden is a real mood-setter: it’s the kind of place where you can step outside, slow down, and let the day unfold without rushing. Rooms are non-smoking, and the hotel also lists non-smoking throughout, which matters if you’re sensitive to odors.

Because the guest rating is 10/10 from a single review, you’ll want to treat it as early feedback rather than a broad consensus, but that lone experience suggests a strong fit for travelers looking for calm and care. The terrace gives you an outdoor spot to linger, while free wired internet and general internet access make it easier to handle planning or work when the weather turns.

If you’re visiting for history, Museum of Ancient Eleftherna is about 1 km away, and Ancient Eleftherna is roughly 2 km from the hotel—close enough to turn into a short daytime outing. For a change of pace, Rethymno Old Town is around 12 km, where you can spend an afternoon wandering streets and stopping for meals.

Best for couples and solo explorers who want a peaceful base with a garden atmosphere, Emvassis Art Nil is also a sensible choice for families who prefer non-smoking comfort and a terrace for downtime. Offsite parking with discounted rates and covered parking are listed, which helps if you’re arriving by car and want easier logistics during your stay.
