Alexandra Rooms, Hersonissos

Alexandra Rooms is a small-stay option in Hersonissos, Greece, set along Malia Beach Road, an area that suits travelers who want quick access to the coast and nearby sights. With a guest rating of 6.3/10 from 18 reviews, expectations should be realistic: some guests mention that the property feels more basic than boutique, while others appreciate the quiet moments when they’re not out exploring. The setup is straightforward for solo explorers and couples, with the practical benefit of free WiFi so you can plan beach days and day trips without hunting for a connection. A terrace and garden provide a calmer pocket for morning coffee or an evening wind-down, and a library gives you a low-key alternative when the sun is too strong. Rooms include private balconies, which is especially useful in this part of Crete where sea air and sunset light can make even a simple stay feel more comfortable.

If you’re arriving by car, note that the front desk is limited hours, and there’s a safe-deposit box available at the front desk for day-to-day security. For logistics, Alexandra Rooms can arrange airport transportation pickup for a surcharge. The smoking area is designated, which helps keep shared spaces more predictable.

In terms of what’s close, Malia Beach is about 1 km away, making it easy to return for breaks. The Malia Archaeological Site is roughly 2 km from the property for history between swims. For bigger-day attractions, Star Beach Water Park is around 11 km, while Lychnostatis Open Air Museum and Aquaworld Aquarium sit at about 12–13 km. Overall, Alexandra Rooms works best when you prioritize location and outdoor space over a high-end finish.
