Varkospito, Ierápetra

Varkospito is a standout stay in Ierápetra, Greece, set in the Ferma area where sea days and quiet evenings go together. The villa’s address on Ferma makes it easy to slip toward Kakkos Bay Beach and Psaropoula Beach for swims, while still having space to unwind at home. With a guest rating of 9.6/10 from three reviews, it’s the kind of property people remember for comfort and calm rather than fuss. Guests mention that the non-smoking environment helps the whole stay feel fresh, and that air conditioning is a practical relief during warm afternoons. Outdoors is where the villa really earns its keep: you can cook with the BBQ facilities, spend time on the terrace, and reset in the hot tub/Jacuzzi after a day in the sun. For slower evenings, the sauna adds a second layer of recovery when you want something more than a quick rinse. Families are also catered for, with kids’ outdoor play equipment and outdoor furniture that make it easier to relax without constantly supervising indoor spaces. Couples often choose Varkospito for the private-feeling rhythm of the day—beach, then a soak—while groups appreciate the straightforward, no-nonsense layout. If you want a change of scenery, Ierapetra’s Venetian fortress and the Ierapetra Archaeological Museum are about 16 km away, and Koutsounari is roughly 6 km for additional coastal atmosphere. Overall, Varkospito suits travelers who want a relaxing base in a beach-focused pocket of Crete, with wellness touches that make the stay feel complete.
