Ellinas Hotel, Kavala

Ellinas Hotel is a quieter base in Skala Panagias, Thasos (Kavala, GR), suited to travelers who want an easy rhythm of beach time and day trips rather than a busy resort scene. The property sits at the Skala Panagias address area, with practical on-site basics that help you keep your plans simple. Guests consistently mention the calm atmosphere and the convenience of free WiFi for messaging, planning, and sharing photos. Breakfast is available for a surcharge, and many visitors treat it as the low-effort start to a day that quickly turns into seaside exploring.

Accommodation is best for couples and solo explorers who don’t mind that upper floors are reached by stairs only. If you’re arriving with a car, free self parking is a straightforward advantage, especially in this part of the island where having your own schedule matters. The front desk operates limited hours, so it’s wise to plan check-in timing around that.

In terms of what’s nearby, Chrisi Akti Beach is about 1 km away for sun-and-swim days, while major cultural stops in Thasos town are roughly 11 km from the hotel. Two standouts are the Ancient Theatre of Thasos (around 11 km) and the Archaeological Museum (also around 11 km), both useful anchors for a half-day itinerary. Reviews also commonly point out that the hotel’s smoke-free setting and straightforward amenities make it feel uncomplicated for short stays, with guests appreciating the balance of a peaceful location and reachable sights.
