Basil & Sunrise, Lazaráta

Basil & Sunrise is a small, guest-focused stay in Lazaráta, Greece, set on σφακιωτες street and suited to travelers who want quiet comfort between day trips. The standout is the terrace, where the pace slows down and you can plan the next drive without feeling rushed. Inside, air conditioning helps you reset after time on the coast, while free wired internet supports work and easy trip planning. Guests also mention practical value in the parking setup, with self parking available for a surcharge and offsite parking discounted when arranged.

With a guest rating of 9.8/10 from 11 reviews, the overall impression is consistently positive, and multiple visitors highlight how smooth their stay felt from arrival to day-to-day comfort. The hotel’s pet-friendly policy is another recurring plus for travelers who don’t want to leave companions behind.

For sightseeing, you can reach Faneromenis Monastery in about 12 km, then continue toward Sikelianou Square at roughly 16 km for a change of atmosphere in Lefkada Town. If beaches are the priority, Kathisma Beach is around 35 km away and Porto Katsiki about 45 km, both good targets for a full day out. Because the area is more village than city, expect a calmer base rather than nightlife right outside.

Basil & Sunrise is best for couples, families, and solo explorers who prefer a peaceful base in the Lazaráta countryside while keeping Lefkada Town and major coastal landmarks within manageable driving distance.
