D'Amboise House, Rhodes Town

D’Amboise House is a small, guest-focused stay in Rhodes Town, Greece, set at 2 Ορφέως, a practical base for moving between the historic core and the waterfront. With a guest rating of 8.9/10 from 14 reviews, it’s the kind of place travelers describe as calm and comfortable, especially after a day on the streets. The standout for many visitors is the soundproofing, which helps when you’re staying in a lively city and still want a good night’s sleep. Air conditioning is another relief in Rhodes’ warmer months, and the availability of family rooms makes it easier for groups traveling with children.

Location matters here: the Palace of the Grand Master is about 1.5 km away, while Elli Beach is roughly 1 km from the property, so you can choose between sightseeing and a quick swim without long transfers. The Street of the Knights and the Old Town’s maze of lanes are also within easy reach on foot, ideal for slow, self-guided walks.

Guests also mention the smoothness of arrival and departure, with express check-in/check-out and private check-in/check-out options that reduce waiting. If you’re planning day trips, the hotel can arrange car hire and offers a shuttle service for an additional charge, which is useful when you don’t want to rely entirely on local transport. Overall, D’Amboise House is best for couples, solo explorers, and families who want a quiet, well-managed base in Rhodes Town rather than a resort-style property.
