Bedspot Hostel, Santorini

Bedspot Hostel is a practical, social base in Santorini, Greece, located on Ag Athanasiou Street opposite the Santorini Medical Clinic. With a guest rating of 8.8/10 from 24 reviews, it’s a strong pick for solo explorers who want an easy place to reset between island days, and for groups who prefer shared spaces over strict privacy. The hostel’s express check-in and express check-out help travelers keep their schedules tight, especially when ferry times or day tours run late. You can also store luggage and use the terrace for downtime without having to commit to a full outing.

Rooms are air-conditioned, and the shared kitchen setup makes it simpler to stretch budgets or handle breakfast and snacks at your own pace. Guests often mention the straightforward, no-fuss feel of the property and the convenience of being close to transport in Fira, including the Fira Bus Station about 1 km away. From here, it’s also an easy day to reach the Caldera Viewpoint in roughly 1.8 km, where the island’s dramatic cliffs and sea views are the main draw.

If you’re the type who likes to walk the town, this location works well: you can move between viewpoints and everyday essentials without needing a car for every step. The front desk operates on limited hours, so it’s worth planning around that, particularly if you’re arriving outside the check-in window of 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Overall, Bedspot Hostel suits travelers who value location, shared social energy, and time-saving services over resort-style amenities.
