Iliada Rooms, Syros

Iliada Rooms is a small, 3-star stay in Ermoupoli, Syros, on Omirou 23, a street that keeps you close to the town’s daily rhythm. This is the kind of base that suits travelers who want to be out walking—whether you’re a solo explorer weaving between squares and theatres or a couple looking for an easy, low-key base in the Cyclades. The hotel’s free WiFi helps you stay connected between outings, and the terrace gives you a simple place to pause after a day in town. Luggage storage is available, which is useful when your plans don’t line up neatly with check-in and check-out times.

The surrounding area is built for strolling. You can reach Plateia Miaouli and Ermoupolis Town Square in about 10 minutes on foot, and the Apollo Theater is roughly 0.7 km away for performances and architecture-watching. If you want a beach break, Agios Georgios Beach is about 1.1 km from the property. The front desk is limited hours, so it’s worth planning ahead for questions or timing.

Reviews are scarce, and the current guest rating is very low (2/10 from 1 review), so expectations should be set accordingly. The pet-friendly policy is a clear plus for travelers bringing a companion animal, and there’s a designated smoking area for those who need it. Tours and ticket assistance can help you line up island sights without spending too much time coordinating. Overall, Iliada Rooms works best for independent guests who prioritize location and basic services over a high level of consistency.
