Vicolo Adelberga 9 is an old, narrow alleyway off of one of Salerno's ancient streets. It is said that this street got its name from the many pilgrims who used to stay at the bed and breakfast located here while on their way to the nearby shrine of St. Matthew. The street is lined with medieval buildings and has a very old-world feel to it. The bed and breakfast itself is located in an old, Italianate-style building that dates back to the 17th century. It has been lovingly restored and features beautiful, original details like wrought iron balconies, terra cotta floors, and high ceilings. The guest rooms are all individually decorated and have a unique charm. They are all spacious and have private bathrooms. The breakfast room has a lovely view of the street below and the food is made fresh each morning. Guests can also enjoy a drink in the evening in the cozy lounge area.
