Maritsa's House, Aegina

Maritsa's House is a 3-star apartment-style stay in Aegina, Greece, suited to travelers who want a quieter base close to the island’s beaches and key sights. Located on Lamponos 12, it’s the kind of address that helps you come and go easily when you’re splitting your time between Aegina Town and the coast. Guests typically mention the practical comfort of air conditioning, which matters in warmer months, and the reassurance of smoke alarms and a first aid kit. Free wired internet is also a steady plus for anyone who needs to check in with work or plan day trips.

The location works well for short sightseeing loops: Avra Beach is about 0.5 km away, and Aegina Port is roughly 1 km from the property, so ferry arrivals and departures are manageable without long transfers. For landmark visits, Agios Nektarios Cathedral sits around 5.5 km from the apartment, while the Temple of Aphaia is about 6 km away, giving you two of Aegina’s most recognizable cultural stops within a reasonable drive or bus ride.

Reviewers often describe the stay as home-like rather than hotel-formal, with a calm atmosphere that suits early starts and relaxed evenings. Families appreciate the availability of family rooms, while solo travelers and couples value the non-smoking environment and straightforward amenities that keep the focus on exploring the island. Check-in runs from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and check-out is at 11:00 AM, so plan your day around those times if you’re coordinating with the port schedule.
