Apollon Hotel, Agios Nikolaos

Apollon Hotel is a straightforward 3-star base in Agios Nikolaos, Greece, on R. Kapetanaki 9, where you can balance beach time with easy access to the town’s sights. With a guest rating of 8.4/10 from 146 reviews, it’s a solid pick for couples and solo explorers who want a calm stay rather than a high-activity resort. Reviews commonly highlight the comfortable, practical rooms with air conditioning, plus the fact that the hotel is geared toward a relaxed rhythm—swim, shower, and head out for dinner or a lakeside walk.

Location is the big draw. Ammos Beach is about 0.3 km away, and Lake Voulismeni is roughly 1 km from the property, making it easy to fit in a morning dip or an evening stroll without relying on a car. If you’re planning culture between swims, the Archaeological Museum of Agios Nikolaos is around 1.3 km, and the harbor area is close enough for boat-trip departures and waterfront wandering.

On-site, the swimming pool provides a simple reset between outings, while the restaurant and terrace give you options for a low-effort meal and a breather after a day in the sun. Practical touches also matter on a short trip: luggage storage helps if your plans run ahead of check-in, and the tour desk is useful for organizing what to do next. The hotel also lists non-smoking rooms, a lift, and safety deposit boxes, which guests typically appreciate for comfort and peace of mind.

One note for road-trippers: parking is not available, so plan around that before you arrive.
