Villa Irini Koksares, Agios Vasileios

Villa Irini Koksares is a 3-star stay in Agios Vasileios, Greece, suited to travelers who want a calm base while still reaching the coast and countryside quickly. Guests typically describe the experience as peaceful and low-key, with many appreciating the garden setting as a place to slow down after drives and day trips. Reviewers often mention that the surrounding area feels authentically Cretan, and that the short hop to Plakias Beach makes it easy to switch from quiet downtime to sea views. The hotel is about 3 km from Plakias Beach and roughly 6 km from Kourtaliotiko Gorge, so hikers and nature lovers can plan an active day without complex logistics.

In terms of day-to-day comfort, visitors tend to highlight the practical, comfortable rooms and the simple rhythm of the property, rather than any high-gloss design. Families and couples alike seem to like the atmosphere, especially those who prefer not to be in the middle of a busy town. One sentence you’ll hear repeatedly in guest feedback is that the garden area helps the place feel more like a retreat than a stopover.

For meals, the hotel’s location works well for guests who want local tavernas within a short drive; Taverna Kri Kri is about 1.5 km away and is frequently cited for Greek cooking. If you’re planning to spend most of your time outdoors—beach days, gorge walks, and scenic drives—Villa Irini Koksares fits that style of travel well.
