If you’re planning longer excursions, Seitan Limania Beach is roughly 15 km away for a day of sea and sand, while Samaria Gorge National Park is about 35 km from the city base for hikers who want a major outing. Reviews also point to the practical comfort of the suites and a calm feel for evenings, with many guests appreciating the chance to unwind after sightseeing. Sofita Suites sits in the Chania area near the Old Town, so you’re close enough to enjoy the bustle while still having a quieter place to reset. This is best for couples and solo explorers who value walkability and local guidance, and for families who want a straightforward base for day trips rather than a resort-style schedule.
