Mezoneta, Chios

Mezoneta is a practical base for exploring Chios, Greece, with air conditioning and a terrace that give you a comfortable place to reset between outings. Located on Αντωνοπούλου 1 in Chios Town, it suits travelers who want to be close enough for short trips to key sights without relying on a car for every plan. Guests typically mention the straightforward, non-smoking atmosphere and the ease of settling in after a day around the island. The terrace is the kind of extra space people actually use for a quiet morning coffee or an evening wind-down.

If you’re planning culture and views, you can build a tight itinerary around Chios Castle (about 1 km away), Panagia Krina Church (around 1.2 km), and the Citrus Museum (roughly 1.5 km). For beach time, Mavra Volia Beach is farther at about 20 km, so it’s better suited to a day trip when you want a longer stretch of sand and sea.

Parking is handled with options that can matter on an island: offsite parking is available at discounted rates, and self parking is offered for a surcharge, with covered parking also listed. For families and solo explorers, that flexibility helps when you’re juggling arrivals, rentals, or evening returns.

Customer feedback from previous visitors tends to highlight the calm, no-smoking environment and the value of having terrace space, while also noting that parking arrangements are something to plan for in advance. Overall, Mezoneta works best for couples, families, and independent travelers who prefer a low-fuss stay in Chios Town with practical amenities and easy access to the island’s highlights.
