Thalassini, Daratso

Thalassini is a Daratso, Greece stay on Nikou Kazantzaki, suited to travellers who want beach time without giving up easy access to Chania’s sights. With a 9.5/10 guest rating from eight reviews, the strongest recurring themes are peace and comfort, helped by soundproof rooms and air conditioning for restful nights. Families tend to like the family rooms, while couples and solo travellers appreciate the quiet feel after a day outdoors.

The location works especially well for beachgoers: Daratso Beach is about 1 km away, and Chryssi Akti is roughly 1.5–2 km, so you can keep trips short and spontaneous. For culture and evening strolls, the Venetian Harbour and Old Town of Chania are around 4 km from the hotel, making it practical to return for a late terrace moment rather than staying out all night.

Guests also mention the terrace as a simple, calming place to decompress, and the hotel’s guest education on local ecosystems and culture adds context for what you’re seeing around Crete. If your plans include day trips, car hire is available, and luggage storage helps when arrival or departure timing doesn’t match your beach schedule. Offsite parking with discounted rates is useful for drivers, and the presence of a nightclub means nights can be lively in the wider area, though the soundproofing is there to protect your sleep.

Overall, Thalassini is best for families and beach-focused travellers who value quiet rooms, straightforward logistics, and a base that keeps both shoreline and Chania’s historic centre within reach.
