Zeus, Gázion

Zeus is a practical base in Gázion, Greece, set at 47 Λεωφόρος Ανδρέα Παπανδρέου, a location that suits travelers who want both beach time and quick access to Heraklion-area sights. The property is rated 6.6/10 based on five reviews, so expectations should stay realistic: guests tend to appreciate the straightforward setup and the staff’s responsiveness, while some reviews suggest the experience is more functional than polished.

On-site, you’ll find air conditioning for warmer days and a terrace where you can reset between outings. The hotel also runs express check-in/check-out and offers private check-in/check-out, which can matter if you’re arriving late or moving on early. Non-smoking rooms and non-smoking throughout are helpful for guests who are sensitive to odors, and family rooms make it easier for groups traveling with children.

For sightseeing, Amoudara Beach is about 1.5 km away, making it a short trip for swimming and sun. The Heraklion Archaeological Museum is roughly 5 km from Zeus, while the Palace of Knossos sits around 6 km out, ideal for a full day of history. If you’re planning evenings in town, the surrounding area is geared toward everyday convenience rather than nightlife.

Best for families and couples who value a calm, no-fuss stay with key services, Zeus works well as a starting point for beach walks and major landmarks, provided you’re comfortable with a modestly reviewed property. Staff follow local safety protocols, and offsite parking is available with discounted rates, which can simplify plans if you’re driving.
