Akrogiali Garden Hotel, Hersonissos

Akrogiali Garden Hotel is a simple, garden-focused stay in Malia, Hersonissos, Greece, set on Grammatikaki Malia 70007. The area suits travelers who want to be close to the coast and the Malia Old Town atmosphere without needing a full-service resort. With just one guest review and a 2/10 rating, expectations should be managed: the feedback suggests a stay that may feel basic rather than polished, so it’s wise to confirm what matters most to you before booking.

Location is the main draw. Malia Beach is about 1.3 km away, making it practical for quick swims and late-afternoon walks, while the Malia Palace Ruins are roughly 2 km from the hotel for anyone planning a history stop. Stalis Beach is around 6 km off, giving you an easy option for a change of scenery along the shoreline. If you’re also exploring further afield, Hersonissos Harbour is about 10 km away.

On-site, you’ll find free WiFi and a garden space where you can slow down between outings. Breakfast is available for a surcharge, which can help if you prefer not to start the day searching for options. There’s also free self parking, useful for travelers using a car to hop between beaches and sights. The front desk has limited hours, so plan arrivals accordingly.

This hotel is best for solo explorers and couples who prioritize location and outdoor downtime, and who are comfortable with a no-frills setup. Families may find the limited-hours front desk and the overall basic feel less convenient, especially if you need consistent on-site support.
