Babalogo Apartments, Hersonissos

Babalogo Apartments is a practical base in Hersonissos, Crete Island, at Emm. Tsagaraki, 700 07, suited to travelers who want independence without giving up key conveniences. The guest rating of 6.6/10 from a small number of reviews suggests a mixed experience, so it’s best to set expectations for a straightforward stay rather than a polished, high-end property. That said, several visitors have highlighted the value of having free WiFi and express check-in/check-out, which helps when your plans run tight. The seasonal outdoor pool is a simple place to cool off between beach outings, and the terrace and garden areas give you somewhere quieter to reset after a day in town.

For location, you’re close enough to the Hersonissos Marina for evening strolls and casual waterfront time, while major family-friendly activities like Star Beach Water Park are within a short drive. If you’re planning beach days, Stalida Beach is around 3 km away and Malia Beach is about 5 km, making it easy to mix quieter stretches with busier resort areas. Snorkeling is available nearby, so you can build a day around the coast and return for a relaxed afternoon.

Best for couples and small families who prefer self-catering flexibility and don’t mind a more modest, review-dependent stay. With a 24-hour front desk and designated smoking areas, the basics are covered for day-to-day comfort, even if the overall vibe is more functional than luxurious.
