Despina Hotel, Hersonissos

Despina Hotel is a simple, budget-friendly base in Hersonissos, Greece, suited to travelers who want an easy base and don’t need lots of on-site extras. The property sits on Vitsentsou Kornarou 10, so you’re close enough to get out to the seafront and attractions without spending the day commuting. Reviews commonly describe the stay as straightforward and good value, with guests appreciating the basic comforts and the practical help from the front desk during limited hours. Free WiFi is available for staying connected, and a terrace gives you a quiet spot to reset between day trips. There’s also luggage storage, which helps if your plans don’t line up neatly with check-in and check-out times.

For nearby activities, many visitors pair their beach time with Aquaworld Aquarium (about 2 km away) and Star Beach Water Park (around 4 km), since both are popular with families and active couples. If you want a change of pace, Lychnostatis Open Air Museum is roughly 6 km from the hotel, offering a more cultural outing than the typical resort strip. Guests also tend to like having free self parking, especially if they’re exploring beyond Hersonissos.

Best for solo explorers, couples, and budget-conscious families who plan to spend most of their time outside the hotel. If you’re sensitive to limited front desk hours or you prefer a fuller-service setup, it’s worth checking your arrival timing and expectations before you go.
