Irene Appartment, Katakolon

Irene Appartment is a self-catering stay in Katakolon, Greece, positioned at Κατάκολο Πύργου Ηλείας, a good base for travelers who want both sea air and easy access to the wider region. The apartment setup suits guests who prefer independence, with air conditioning for warmer days and a terrace where you can slow down after time on the coast. Families and groups often like having space to spread out, while couples value the quieter rhythm that comes with a private apartment rather than a hotel corridor. The building also includes a lift, which makes day-to-day movement simpler when you’re carrying beach gear or luggage.

Location-wise, Katakolon Beach is roughly a short walk away, and the Katakolon port area is within easy reach for morning arrivals and evening strolls. If you’re planning a day trip, Ancient Olympia is about 30 km from the property, and the Archaeological Museum of Olympia is similarly close, so you can structure your sightseeing without long overnight transfers. Guests mention that the stay feels comfortable and well maintained, and the overall rating of 8.7/10 from a small set of reviews suggests consistent satisfaction.

Practical care is part of the experience here: private check-in/check-out helps reduce waiting, and the property follows cleaning standards effective against Coronavirus, with guest rooms disinfected between stays and staff adhering to local safety protocols. For anyone weighing a beach-focused break against a culture-packed itinerary, Irene Appartment offers the kind of straightforward, livable base that supports both.
