Stam & John Apartments, Kos

Stam & John Apartments is a small, apartment-style base in Kos Town, Greece, set on Makrigianni Str at number 49. The location suits travelers who want to move around on foot, with the Ancient Agora and the Hippocrates Tree area within about 1 km, and the Castle of the Knights reachable in roughly 2 km. You’ll also find the waterfront and its promenade close by, making it easy to plan an evening walk without relying on transport.

The apartment setup is designed for independent stays, and the kitchenette approach matters if you prefer simple breakfasts or in-room meals. Free WiFi helps when you’re checking bus times or mapping day trips, while the garden gives you a quieter spot to reset between outings. Luggage storage and a safe-deposit box at the front desk are practical for arrivals and departures when your plans don’t match check-in and check-out times.

Guest feedback is mixed, with an overall rating of 6.7/10 from 12 reviews, so it’s worth aligning expectations with a straightforward, functional stay rather than a polished hotel experience. Some guests have pointed to the limited front-desk hours as something to plan around, and the designated smoking area indicates the property manages smoking rather than banning it entirely. If you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or with a small group who values independence and walkability, Stam & John Apartments can work well as a hub for exploring Kos Town’s historic core and nearby sights like the Asklepieion area at around 4 km.
