Villa Splendid, Kavallos, Lake Kournas presented by Ourvillasincrete, Kournás

Villa Splendid in Kournás, Greece is a private-villa stay built around calm, lake-and-mountain scenery rather than a busy resort atmosphere. The property sits on the Georgioupolis-Kournas road, so you’re close enough for day trips while still feeling tucked away when you return. With a private pool and a spacious terrace, the outdoor space is where most guests spend their time, especially in warm evenings when grilling is part of the plan. Indoors, air conditioning helps you stay comfortable after a day out, and the villa’s non-smoking environment suits travelers who prefer cleaner, quieter living.

This is a good match for couples and small groups who want privacy and flexibility, particularly because grocery deliveries and fruits are available so you can stock up without constant driving. Families can also work it out well if you’re comfortable with a shared outdoor setup, including a shallow end for easier splash time. For downtime, board games and puzzles give you a low-key option when the weather turns.

The location is anchored by Lake Kournas, about 2 km away, making it practical for morning walks or a relaxed afternoon near the water. For culture, the Archaeological Museum of Rethymno is roughly 23 km from the villa, and the wider Rethymno historic area is in the same distance range for museums and old-town wandering. One guest rated the stay 9/10, with the overall impression focused on the peaceful setting and the villa’s livability for relaxing stays.

If you’re looking for a quiet base with an outdoor rhythm—pool, terrace, and simple self-catering—Villa Splendid is the kind of place that fits well.
