Villa Marie Nicol (private pool), Lygaria

Villa Marie Nicol (private pool) is a private-stay base in Lygaria, Greece, designed for guests who want space, privacy, and a slower rhythm than a hotel schedule. The villa sits on Ελευθερίου Βενιζέλου, and that residential setting helps keep days calm even when the coast is active. Expect a family-friendly layout with multiple bedrooms, a living area for downtime, and a terrace that works well for meals at home. A key highlight is the private pool, which is especially useful when you want a swim without timing your day around beach crowds.

For getting out and about, Lygaria Beach is about 1 km away and Agia Pelagia is roughly 2 km, so you can alternate between quiet swims and busier seaside promenades. If you’re planning a culture day, Heraklion’s main sights are within reach, including the Archaeological Museum at around 15 km and Knossos Palace at about 20 km.

The villa’s on-site touches are practical rather than fussy: air conditioning for warm evenings, soundproof rooms for better rest, and express private check-in/check-out to reduce friction on arrival. When you’re staying in, the BBQ facilities give you an easy way to make evenings feel like yours. Guests have rated the stay 10/10 based on a small number of reviews, with visitors highlighting the comfort of the setup and the ease of settling in.

Villa Marie Nicol is best for families and small groups who prefer privacy, value having a car for flexibility, and want beach access without giving up the option to stay in and enjoy the pool and terrace.
