Kounia Bella - Palio Mikro Chorio, Mikrón Khoríon

Kounia Bella - Palio Mikro Chorio is a calm, countryside base in Mikrón Khoríon, Greece, set on Παλαιό Μικρό Χωριό where village quiet and greenery shape the mood. The standout feature is the Japanese garden, which gives the property a peaceful rhythm even when you’re just stepping outside for a breather on the terrace. Inside, air conditioning helps you stay comfortable through warm days, while free wired internet and internet access make it easier to plan hikes or check in with work. The property is non-smoking throughout, and there’s CCTV outside for added peace of mind.

This is a strong fit for couples and families who prefer slower travel and want to be close to both nature and heritage without being in a busy town center. Guests who left reviews (a small but very enthusiastic group) consistently mention the welcoming atmosphere and the ease of settling in, with one recurring theme being how relaxing the garden-and-terrace setup feels after a day outdoors. If you’re looking to fill your days, Ancient Messene is about 15 km away for a dose of history, while Mount Taygetus is roughly 10 km from the hotel for hiking and mountain viewpoints. You can also spend time on local village lanes and countryside paths nearby, returning to the property when you want quiet.

Pets are allowed, so it’s also practical for travelers bringing a furry companion, as long as you’re planning around the property’s tranquil setting.
