Melina's Apartments, Nea Kydonia

Melina's Apartments is a straightforward, no-frills stay in Nea Kydonia, on Αγία Μαρίνα Χανιά in Greece, suited to travelers who want a quiet base near the coast rather than a full-service resort. With a guest rating of 6.7/10 from nine reviews, expectations tend to be realistic: several guests mention the practical setup and the value of having essential comforts, while others point to the limited scale compared with larger properties. The apartments are non-smoking, and rooms are equipped with air conditioning, which helps when temperatures rise. Free wired internet and internet access are useful for planning beach days or keeping in touch.

Location matters here. Agia Marina Beach is about 1 km away, making it easy to slip out for an early swim or a late stroll. Platanias Square sits roughly 1 km from the property for simple dining and local atmosphere, while Agios Dimitrios Church is around 1.5–2 km for a quick cultural stop. For a bigger day out, the Old Venetian Harbor is about 10 km, where Chania’s historic waterfront and evening promenades draw most visitors.

This is best for couples and small families who prefer self-contained accommodation and don’t need extensive on-site facilities. If you’re the type who likes to spend the day outdoors and return to a calm room with reliable cooling and internet, Melina's Apartments fits the bill. Reviewers who stayed for short beach-focused trips generally appreciate the manageable distance to key sights and the calm, residential feel of the Agia Marina/Nea Kydonia area.
