Romantzo, Nisyros

Romantzo is a simple, welcoming 3-star hotel in Nisyros, Greece, suited to travelers who want a calm base near the island’s working harbour. The property sits in the Nisyros town area by the port, so you can step out for morning arrivals and evening strolls without needing a long transfer. Guests typically mention the friendly atmosphere and the ease of getting around on foot for local waterfront moments.

Rooms are designed for practical comfort, with a straightforward setup that suits short stays and day trips. Reviews often highlight how the hotel feels personal rather than formal, and how staff help guests plan around the island’s highlights. If you’re traveling solo or as a couple, this is a good match because the surrounding area keeps things low-key while still putting you close to the action at the port.

From Romantzo, Pali Beach is about 3 km away, making it a manageable ride or walk for a beach day when you want a break from sightseeing. The Nisyros Volcano, around 7 km from the hotel, is the island’s signature outing, and many visitors plan their days around crater views and the dramatic volcanic landscape. The port itself is only a short walk, which is handy for ferry schedules and for grabbing a quick meal before heading out.

Overall, Romantzo works best for guests who value location and a relaxed pace over resort-style facilities, and who want to spend their time outdoors—volcano trails, coastal air, and island tavernas—rather than inside the hotel.
