Villa Savina, Plátanos

Villa Savina is a private stay in Plátanos, Crete, Greece, set on Platanos Kissamou 1 in a quieter village pocket that still keeps Kissamos within easy reach. With a guest rating of 9.9/10 from eight reviews, the overall impression is consistent: travelers value the calm, the practical setup, and the way the host supports day-to-day plans. The villa’s non-smoking policy and soundproof rooms are frequently mentioned in spirit, because they help guests rest properly between beach outings and sightseeing. Air conditioning adds comfort for warmer afternoons, while the terrace and BBQ facilities make it easy to eat outside when the weather is kind.

For families, the space and self-catering flexibility suit longer stays, while couples and solo explorers appreciate the privacy and the ability to set your own pace. If you’re arriving by car, offsite parking with discounted rates available is a practical detail, and luggage storage plus express check-in/check-out help when your itinerary is tight.

From Plátanos, you can base yourself for some of western Crete’s standouts: Falassarna Beach is about 23 km away, Ancient Falassarna is also around 23 km, and the dramatic Balos Lagoon sits roughly 44 km from the villa. Kissamos Port is about 2 km out, making it a useful hub for ferries and coastal browsing. A tour desk on hand can help translate your interests—beach time, ruins, or viewpoints—into a workable route, so your days feel organized without losing spontaneity.
