M/Y Opera, Sami

M/Y Opera is a yacht-style stay in Sami, Kefalonia, Greece, set at Λιμάνι Σάμης where the harbor atmosphere shapes the whole experience. The layout suits groups who want space to spread out, with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms designed for comfortable shared time. Guests consistently mention the calm feel of being on the water and the practical ease of having air conditioning and room service for days when the island heat builds. Non-smoking throughout is a clear plus for travelers who prefer fresher indoor air, and the terrace gives you a place to linger with sea views after a day out.

What people seem to enjoy most is the balance between planned outings and simple downtime. Many reviewers talk about starting with nearby sights such as Melissani Cave, about 2 km away, or heading to Karavomilos Beach, also around 2 km from the mooring. For a longer day trip, the island’s cave country and historic areas are reachable, but the closest highlights are right in the Sami orbit.

Onboard, the BBQ facilities and terrace work well for informal evenings, while express check-in/check-out and luggage storage help when arrival times don’t match your schedule. If you’re driving, discounted rates for offsite parking are available, which can reduce stress for those who plan to explore beyond Sami.

M/Y Opera is best for families and groups who want a distinctive base in a coastal town, with easy access to caves and beaches and enough in-house comfort to keep the trip feeling relaxed rather than rushed.
