Avra Hotel, Santorini

Avra Hotel is a small, straightforward stay in Kamari on the island of Santorini, Greece, at Kamari, Santorini 84700. It suits travelers who want an easy base near the black-sand coast rather than being in the cliff-top bustle. Guests typically appreciate the calm garden setting and the practical day-to-day comfort, and the overall guest rating of 9/10 from two reviews suggests a consistently positive experience for a property of this size.

The seasonal outdoor pool is a highlight for downtime between beach walks, and the terrace and garden give you a couple of places to reset outdoors without needing to drive anywhere. Free WiFi helps if you’re planning ferry times or checking on day trips, while luggage storage and limited-hours front desk support smoother arrivals and departures.

Breakfast is available for a surcharge, which can be useful if you’d rather not start the morning hunting for options right away. For sightseeing, Ancient Thira is about 3 km away, and the Santorini Caldera viewpoints are roughly 7.8–8 km from the hotel, making it feasible to combine archaeology with the island’s iconic scenery. Kamari Beach is close enough to build your days around the shoreline.

Best for couples and solo explorers who value a quiet, low-key base, Avra Hotel works well when you plan to spend your time outdoors—whether that’s swimming, strolling the Kamari promenade, or heading out to the major landmarks by car or bus.
