ZIROS Guesthouse, Zíros

ZIROS Guesthouse is a small base in Zíros, Greece, set along Επαρχιακή Οδός Ζήρου Παλαιοκάστρου, making it practical for travelers who want quieter countryside access rather than a big-city scene. The guesthouse is best for families and small groups who are comfortable with shared spaces, since the setup includes a shared lounge/TV area and a shared kitchen where you can keep things flexible during your stay. Rooms are non-smoking, and the property highlights cleaning and safety measures between stays, including guest-room disinfection and hand sanitizer in key areas.

With a 5.5/10 guest rating based on two reviews, expectations should be realistic: some guests may appreciate the straightforward, community-style feel, while others may find the overall experience less polished than higher-scoring properties. Because the review sample is small, it’s worth considering that your experience could differ from the average.

For sightseeing, the surrounding region is where the value lies. You’re roughly 47 km from the Vai Palm Forest, a standout day trip for dramatic greenery and beach-adjacent scenery. Kato Zakros is about 30 km away for ancient ruins in a rugged landscape, and the Zakros Gorge area is within a similar driving radius for those who prefer nature-focused routes. If you’re planning to spend most of your time outdoors, the guesthouse’s shared-kitchen flexibility and non-smoking environment can help you settle in comfortably between excursions.
