Chrismare Hotel, Taormina Overview
Chrismare Hotel is located in Taormina, Italy. Rated 6.0 out of 10 based on 5 guest reviews.
Chrismare Hotel is a small, pet-friendly base in Taormina, Italy, set along Via Appiano 3a on the Lungomare Mazzeo stretch where the sea air is part of the daily rhythm. Check in runs from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and the hotel keeps things practical with a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and express check-in/check-out for smoother arrivals and departures. Guests start the day with free breakfast, and the property’s terrace and garden add a quiet place to reset between beach time and town outings.
The location suits travelers who want coastal scenery without being in the busiest historic core. From here, it’s about 1.5 km to Letojanni Beach and roughly 1 km to Mazzeo Beach, while Taormina’s major sights like the Greek Theatre (around 5 km) and Isola Bella (around 6 km) are reachable by short drives or local transport. If you’re planning snorkelling nearby, this is the kind of area where you’ll likely spend mornings and afternoons on the water.
Reviewers’ overall rating of 6/10 from a handful of guests suggests mixed experiences: some people mention the value of the basics and the helpfulness of the service team, while others point to limitations that can come with smaller properties and a coastal setting. In practice, that means Chrismare Hotel is best for couples and solo explorers who prioritize location, outdoor space, and a straightforward stay, especially if traveling with a pet.

Should You Book Chrismare Hotel?
Consider booking only if you value a quiet rooftop/terrace setting and free breakfast, but the overall guest rating (6/10 from 5 reviews) suggests inconsistent satisfaction. It may be a decent fit for short stays, yet it’s not a clear “safe choice” based on the limited review history.
Best For
- Travelers who prioritize a relaxing rooftop terrace and garden views for downtime
- Budget-conscious guests who want free breakfast included
- Pet owners who need a hotel that allows pets
- Guests who prefer convenience features like free WiFi, a 24-hour front desk, and concierge support
Not Ideal For
- Guests who want consistently strong service or comfort, given the modest 6/10 rating from only 5 reviews
- Travelers who need very early check-in, since check-in starts at 4:00 PM
- Light sleepers or those sensitive to noise, since the property is on the Lungomare Mazzeo waterfront area (potentially busier than inland streets)
What to Expect
You arrive to Chrismare Hotel on the Lungomare Mazzeo seafront area, and the first impression is centered on the rooftop terrace and garden views that make it feel calmer and more scenic than a typical stopover. Days can be spent relaxing on-site, with snorkeling nearby as an option for active time. In the evening, you can keep things simple with the restaurant, room service, or a drink at the bar. Morning starts with free breakfast, and guests generally seem to appreciate the convenience of WiFi and the 24-hour front desk, though the limited 5-review sample and 6/10 rating indicate the experience may not be uniformly satisfying.
Location Intelligence
The hotel is located on Lungomare Mazzeo in Taormina, which is a practical choice if you want to be in the seafront area and have snorkeling nearby. Since no specific walkable landmarks are listed, it’s safest to plan around the general Taormina setting and use concierge service for on-the-ground guidance. For logistics, express check-in/out and luggage storage can help if your timing is tight.
