Hostal Excellence, Barcelona Overview
Hostal Excellence is a 1-star hotel in Barcelona, Spain. Rated 7.2 out of 10 based on 1,214 guest reviews.
Hostal Excellence is a 1-star stay in Barcelona, Spain, set on Santa Anna, 27 1-1, making it a practical base for exploring the city on foot and by metro. With a guest rating of 7.2/10 from 1,214 reviews, it’s the kind of place travelers typically choose for budget-friendly access to central Barcelona rather than for big-hotel facilities. Reviewers commonly mention the value and the straightforward, no-fuss atmosphere, and many guests highlight the staff’s helpfulness when planning days out.
The rooms are non-smoking and air-conditioned, which matters in Barcelona’s warmer months, and the property also emphasizes cleanliness between stays and coronavirus-effective cleaning standards. Luggage storage and a tour desk are useful when you arrive before check-in or want local help mapping routes. Non-smoking throughout supports a calmer indoor environment, and the hotel notes that staff follow local safety protocols.
Location-wise, you’re close to Plaça de Catalunya (about 0.5 km) and La Rambla (about 0.6 km), so getting to major sights and evening strolls is usually simple. The Gothic Quarter is roughly 1.0 km away for atmospheric lanes and historic streets, while Sagrada Família is about 2.5 km for one of Barcelona’s most iconic landmarks.
Hostal Excellence is best for solo travelers, couples, and families who prioritize walkability, air-conditioned comfort, and a clean, budget approach over parking—since parking is not available—while using the tour desk and nearby transit to keep days efficient.
