Casa Xarreiro, Chantada

Casa Xarreiro is a countryside holiday stay in Santiago de Arriba, n°3, in Chantada, Spain, designed for guests who want space, calm, and a base for exploring the Miño region. With a guest rating of 9.6/10 from five reviews, the strongest theme is how comfortable and well-managed the stay feels between visits, including disinfected guest rooms and staff following local safety protocols. The home’s air conditioning helps you settle quickly after time outside, while the terrace gives you a simple place to slow down and take in the surrounding landscape.

Families and groups tend to like the practical mix of indoor and outdoor time: there are family rooms, board games and puzzles for quieter evenings, and BBQ facilities for relaxed meals when the weather cooperates. Pets are allowed, which is a major plus for travellers who don’t want to leave companions behind. Check-in runs from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, so late arrivals are workable, and the property’s non-smoking approach keeps the atmosphere consistent.

In the wider area, you can pair the slower pace of Santiago de Arriba with nearby highlights such as Monasterio de San Salvador (about 8 km) and the Río Miño (about 6 km), both good for scenic walks and day trips. Golf fans can also plan around Pazo da Touza Golf (about 12 km). Overall, Casa Xarreiro is best for families, small groups, and pet owners who prefer a quiet rural base with thoughtful comfort rather than a busy town-centre setting.
