Hostal San Juan, El Campello

Hostal San Juan is a simple, budget-friendly base in El Campello, Spain, at Avinguda Jaume I el Conqueridor, 110. It suits travelers who want an easy stay rather than a long list of extras, and the overall guest score of 8.2/10 from 101 reviews suggests most people leave feeling satisfied. Reviews commonly point to the practical setup for short trips, with a 24-hour front desk that helps when arrival times don’t match the usual rhythm. The seasonal outdoor pool is a standout for warm-weather downtime, and the terrace and garden give you a quieter place to reset between beach outings. Free WiFi is available for planning days around the coast, and luggage storage plus concierge service make it easier to manage arrival and departure. Breakfast is available for a surcharge if you prefer to start the day on-site.

Location matters here: Playa de San Juan is about 2 km away, while Cala Lanuza is roughly 1 km from the hotel, so you can mix swimming with relaxed coastal walks without long commutes. If you’re willing to travel a bit, Castillo de Santa Bárbara in Alicante is around 20 km and works well for a day trip with views over the bay. For a classic seaside outing, El Campello’s promenade and nearby beaches are best enjoyed at a slower pace, especially in the late afternoon.

Best for solo explorers, couples, and families looking for straightforward comfort and a seasonal pool, Hostal San Juan is a sensible choice when your priority is being close to the shoreline and keeping things uncomplicated.
