Patrick, L'Escala

Patrick in L'Escala, Spain, is a villa-style stay at de la Palma 18 that suits travelers who want privacy without giving up easy access to the coast. The area around L'Escala is all about outdoor time, and from here you can reach Playa de Riells and Cala del Bol Roig in about 1.5–2 km, with the Ruins of Empúries roughly 3 km away for a culture break. One guest rating of 7/10 suggests the experience is generally positive but not without room for improvement, so it’s best to set expectations accordingly.

Inside, the practical comforts are clear: WiFi is available, and air conditioning and heating help you stay comfortable across seasons. Time outdoors is part of the appeal, with a terrace and garden that give you somewhere to linger between swims and day trips. Parking is free, which matters in this part of Catalonia where having your own car can simplify beach hopping and visits to nearby sights.

The villa setup is also a good fit for groups who prefer a home-like rhythm—cooking and spending time together rather than working around hotel schedules. If you’re traveling with pets, Patrick allows them, which can make a big difference for animal-friendly itineraries. Couples who want quiet evenings, families who need space, and solo travelers planning a relaxed coastal route will likely appreciate the balance of independence and proximity to L'Escala’s highlights.
