Casa Valor, Penáguila

Casa Valor is a practical, 2-star base in Penáguila, Spain, set at 2 Carrer Ample in the town’s everyday rhythm rather than a resort strip. The rooms are air-conditioned and kept non-smoking, which matters on warmer days, and the hotel also has non-smoking throughout for a calmer stay. If you’re traveling with family or friends, the property’s family rooms make it easier to keep everyone together, and pets are welcome too. Guests mention the overall value and the friendly, low-key feel, with an impressive 9.1/10 guest rating from 19 reviews. Many reviewers highlight that the essentials are handled well for a budget stay, and that the terrace is a pleasant spot to slow down after exploring. For meals, there’s an on-site restaurant and room service, so you can eat without needing to plan every outing around opening hours. Active travelers will appreciate the electric bicycle charging station, a small but useful detail for cycling days in the surrounding countryside. Penáguila’s landmarks are close enough for short trips: the Castillo de Penáguila is about 2 km away, and Aqua Natura Park is roughly 20 km from the hotel for a full day out. If you’re looking beyond town, Alcoi (Alcoy) is around 22 km and Cocentaina about 18 km, both good for additional walks and local atmosphere. Casa Valor is best for solo explorers, couples, and families who want a quiet, functional stay with straightforward comfort and easy access to nearby sights.
