It was built in the 12th century and has been home to the Amalfi town hall since the 13th century. The Palazzo is one of the most important examples of Norman architecture in Italy. It has a simple façade with three arches and a balcony. The Palazzo is built of limestone and has two floors. The first floor is the town hall and the second floor is the Amalfi Museum.
