Should You Book Hôtel Azur Montmartre?
Not worth booking based on the very low guest rating (4.2/10 from 89 reviews). The location in Montmartre is appealing, but the reviews suggest more downsides than upsides for most travelers.
Best For
- Solo explorers who want to base themselves in Montmartre for easy access to Sacré-Cœur (0.9 km) and nearby nightlife
- Couples looking for a charming Parisian neighborhood with walkable sightseeing around Montmartre
- Travelers who prioritize free WiFi and basic convenience services like luggage storage and front-desk safe-deposit box
- Guests who value tours/ticket assistance to help plan visits to major sights like the Louvre (3 km) and Notre-Dame (4.5 km)
Not Ideal For
- Travelers who strongly rely on consistently positive reviews, since the overall rating is poor (4.2/10)
- Anyone needing flexible front-desk support, because front desk hours are limited
- Travelers who want the most straightforward access to the city’s major landmarks, since the closest listed big sights are several kilometers away (Louvre 3 km, Champs-Élysées 4 km, Notre-Dame 4.5 km)
What to Expect
You arrive at a Montmartre address on rue Ramey and settle into a neighborhood feel that’s close to Sacré-Cœur (about a 0.9 km walk). The stay is likely to feel like a base for wandering rather than a quick hop to the largest landmarks, with the Louvre (3 km) and Notre-Dame (4.5 km) requiring a longer trip. Morning plans can start with nearby dining options such as Le Pain Quotidien, then you can work your way toward Moulin Rouge (1.5 km) for the classic Montmartre atmosphere. However, the overall guest sentiment is weak, so expectations should be conservative given the 4.2/10 rating from 89 reviews.
Location Intelligence
The hotel’s main advantage is its Montmartre positioning, with Sacré-Cœur (0.9 km) and Moulin Rouge (1.5 km) within a walkable radius. For major sights like the Louvre (3 km) and Notre-Dame Cathedral (4.5 km), plan on a longer commute rather than expecting everything to be right next door. For airports, Charles de Gaulle is about 25 km away and Orly about 18 km, so you’ll want to factor travel time when scheduling early departures.
