Should You Book Hotel Edgar Quinet?
Worth considering if you’re a budget traveler who values a simple, functional base in Paris, but don’t expect a standout stay given the modest 6.2/10 guest rating. It’s a practical option for short visits where location near major sights matters more than hotel comfort.
Best For
- Budget travelers who need essential amenities like free WiFi and a 24-hour front desk at a lower-star property
- Solo explorers looking for a central-feeling base in the Montparnasse area to reach major landmarks
- Travelers who plan to spend most of their time out visiting attractions like the Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum, and Musée d'Orsay
- Guests who appreciate convenience services such as luggage storage and tours/ticket assistance for planning day trips
Not Ideal For
- Light sleepers or guests sensitive to noise, since the overall guest rating suggests mixed experiences and lower-star expectations
- Travelers seeking a higher-end hotel experience, as a 2-star rating and 6.2/10 review score indicate trade-offs
- Groups or travelers needing more consistent comfort, given the limited review score and only 111 reviews to gauge reliability
What to Expect
Check-in runs from 02:00 PM to midnight, and you’ll likely find the hotel operates with a straightforward, no-frills rhythm typical of a 2-star property. The Montparnasse area feel is a plus for getting out quickly, and you can plan walks or short trips to major sights such as the Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum, and Musée d'Orsay. With free WiFi and a 24-hour front desk, day-to-day logistics should be manageable, and luggage storage helps if your plans start before check-in. Overall, the 6.2/10 rating suggests a comfortable enough base for some guests, but not a consistently impressive experience for everyone.
