Should You Book Nouvel Hotel Paris 18?
Not worth booking for most travelers based on the very low guest rating (5/10 from 42 reviews). Unless you have a specific reason to stay in this exact 18th-arrondissement location, the review score suggests a higher risk of disappointment.
Best For
- Solo explorers who want a base near Sacré-Cœur Basilica and can prioritize location over overall guest satisfaction
- Couples looking for a walkable neighborhood feel around the 18th arrondissement, with easy access to Sacré-Cœur
- Travelers who value practical basics like free WiFi, a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and an elevator
- Guests who prefer staff support in multiple languages and a smoke-free property
Not Ideal For
- Travelers who rely heavily on guest satisfaction scores and want a consistently well-reviewed hotel
- Groups or light sleepers who may be sensitive to issues reflected in the low review rating (specific causes aren’t provided, but the score is a clear warning)
- Anyone expecting included breakfast, since breakfast is available only as a surcharge
What to Expect
You arrive to a straightforward, functional stay with a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage, which helps if your plans run late. The surrounding 18th arrondissement feels lively, and Sacré-Cœur Basilica is an easy walk at about 1.1 km, making it convenient for an evening or early-morning visit. In the morning, you can plan around a paid breakfast option and then head out toward major sights like the Louvre (about 3.5 km) and Notre-Dame (about 4.5 km). However, with a 5/10 rating from 42 reviews, the overall guest experience appears inconsistent, so expectations should be kept modest.
Location Intelligence
Staying at 86 Rue Myrha places you close to Sacré-Cœur Basilica (about 1.1 km), which is likely the most convenient nearby landmark. For larger attractions, you’re still within a reasonable distance for day trips to the Louvre (3.5 km), Champs-Élysées (4.0 km), and Notre-Dame Cathedral (4.5 km). The closest airports are Orly (18 km) and Charles de Gaulle (25 km), so plan transfers accordingly.
