NYX Hotel Bilbao by Leonardo Hotels, Bilbao

NYX Hotel Bilbao by Leonardo Hotels is a 4-star base for exploring Bilbao, Spain, with a buzzy edge that suits travelers who want to be close to the city’s sights and nightlife. Set on Areatza Kalea, the hotel places you within easy reach of central landmarks such as Arriaga Theatre (about 1 km) and the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao (around 2 km), making it practical for short stays. The guest score of 8.4/10 from 6,000-plus reviews suggests consistent satisfaction, and many guests highlight the straightforward comfort of the rooms and the overall welcome.

This is a particularly good fit for families and pet owners, since children are welcome and pets are allowed, and the hotel also offers family rooms. If you’re traveling with a car, note that parking is not available on-site, so plan accordingly if you’re road-tripping through the Basque Country. For keeping up with routines, there’s a fitness area available for a surcharge, and after a day of walking you can return for meals at the restaurant or order room service.

Expect a mix of energy and convenience rather than quiet seclusion: the hotel includes a nightclub, which can appeal to guests who like to stay out, but may not be ideal for those who prioritize early, silent nights. Reviewers also mention the value of practical touches like air conditioning and non-smoking rooms, which help the stay feel comfortable even when the city is active outside.

Overall, NYX Hotel Bilbao works well for couples, solo explorers, and groups who want a central location, flexible room options, and an atmosphere that feels distinctly urban.
