Casa Tomas, Carreno

Casa Tomas is a quiet base in Carreno, Spain, set in Barrio Monte Calera 8 for travelers who prefer a home-like rhythm over hotel schedules. The standout appeal is how practical the stay feels: free wired internet helps if you need to check in from the road, and non-smoking throughout keeps the atmosphere fresh. You can also travel with pets, which is a big plus for guests who don’t want to leave companions behind. Outside, the terrace gives you a place to slow down after time on the coast or in the hills.

Recent guests rated the property 10/10 based on three reviews, and the common thread is comfort and calm, with visitors mentioning that the stay works well for everyday living rather than just sleeping. Check-in runs from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, so it suits arrivals that aren’t too early, while check-out is at 12:00 PM.

If you’re planning day trips, you’re within reach of Cabo Peñas at about 14 km for dramatic coastal views, and the beaches around the Carreño shoreline are typically within 10 km, including Playa de La Griega and Playa de Perlora. For a bigger nature outing, Parque Natural de Somiedo is roughly 55 km away, ideal when you want scenery beyond the coast.

Casa Tomas is best for couples, families, and solo explorers who want a non-smoking, pet-friendly stay with reliable internet and a terrace, plus the option of discounted offsite parking when you’re driving.
