La Tienda Nueva, Cómpeta

La Tienda Nueva is a small-stay base in Cómpeta, Spain, set on Calle San Antonio, 7, where the pace feels distinctly local rather than resort-like. With a guest rating of 9.8/10 from 132 reviews, it’s the kind of place travelers describe as calm and welcoming, and that consistency matters when you’re choosing where to unwind at the end of the day. The accommodation suits families well thanks to family rooms, and it can also work for solo travelers who don’t mind sharing a kitchen space with other guests. Air conditioning is available, which helps when the Andalusian heat builds, while the terrace and outdoor furniture give you a simple, pleasant spot to reset with a drink or a quiet read. A tour desk is on hand for planning, and guests who want to explore beyond Cómpeta often appreciate having local help to map out what to see. For those who prefer not to drive, the shuttle service is listed as an option, though it comes with an additional charge. Reviewers frequently note the overall atmosphere and the practical comfort of the setup, including the non-smoking environment throughout the property. If you’re aiming for standout sights, Balcón de Europa is about 12 km away, and the Nerja Caves are roughly 13 km from the hotel. That makes La Tienda Nueva a strong choice for couples seeking a peaceful base, as well as families and friends who want mountain views and day trips without staying in the busiest coastal areas.
