Pension Gelin, León

Pension Gelin is a small, budget-focused 2-star stop in León, Spain, set on AVDA PUENTE DE HIERRO 76 in Carrizo de la Ribera. With only 9 guest rooms, it suits travelers who prefer a quieter, more personal base rather than a large hotel experience. Free WiFi helps you stay connected, and the well-lit path to the entrance makes arrivals straightforward. The front desk has limited hours, so it’s wise to plan your check-in timing around that.

Guest feedback is limited, with a 4/10 rating from one review, so expectations should be calibrated accordingly. In practice, this kind of score often reflects basic, no-frills stays where the focus is on getting a bed and a practical location rather than extensive services.

From here, you can reach key sights without committing to long daily drives. Basilica Menor de la Virgen del Camino is about 10 km away, making it a good option for a half-day outing. Laguna Redonda sits roughly 15 km from the property for a change of pace into the countryside. If you want city highlights, León Cathedral and San Isidoro Basilica are both around 25 km, and Casa Botines is about 26 km.

Best for solo explorers, couples, and budget-minded travelers who want a calm base in the Carrizo de la Ribera area and are comfortable with a simple setup, limited front-desk availability, and a stay that prioritizes essentials over extras.
