Altxabi Apartamento Rural, Ochagavía

Altxabi Apartamento Rural is a rural apartment stay in Ochagavía, Spain, designed for guests who want quiet time in the Pyrenees without giving up practical comforts. Set on Barrio Irigoyen, the accommodation suits travellers who prefer a home-base feel, especially after a day outdoors. With a guest rating of 10/10 from four reviews, it’s the kind of place people remember for how smoothly everything runs and how well it fits real travel routines. Families in particular tend to like the shared spaces, including a shared lounge/TV area for downtime and board games and puzzles that work for mixed ages. The shared kitchen also helps when you want to eat together rather than plan every meal out. On the terrace, you can reset with open-air calm between walks.

From here, it’s straightforward to branch out to Valle de Roncal (about 10 km) and the Iraty Forest area (around 20 km), both strong draws for nature-focused itineraries. If you’re staying for a shorter trip, you can still spend time in Ochagavía’s historic centre, roughly 3 km away, to get a sense of the town’s character before returning to the quieter surroundings. Ski storage is listed for winter trips, which is useful if your plans include nearby snowy days.

Best for families and small groups who want a rural base with shared-living convenience, a terrace for downtime, and easy access to the region’s signature valleys and forests.
