What to Expect
You arrive at 71 Rue de Gerland and settle into a non-smoking, heated apartment that’s positioned as both cozy and spacious. The area feels residential rather than tourist-core, so you’ll likely plan your day around short drives or longer walks to reach the big sights. From the apartment, you can work your way toward Fourvière Roman Theatre and Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière, then continue on toward Vieux Lyon and the Parc de la Tête d'Or. Based on the overall guest sentiment reflected in the 5.4/10 rating, expect mixed experiences rather than a reliably smooth stay.
Location Intelligence
The apartment is about 3 km from Fourvière Roman Theatre and roughly 3.5 km from the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière, with Vieux Lyon around 4 km and Parc de la Tête d'Or about 5 km away. If you’re visiting these landmarks, plan for travel time rather than assuming everything is close by on foot.
