Erreka Alde, Barakaldo

Erreka Alde is a simple 1-star base in Barakaldo, Spain, set on Calle Eskauritza, 22, a practical choice if you’re prioritizing value and a calm place to reset between outings. The standout for many guests is the consistently helpful service and the overall feel of the stay, reflected in its 9.2/10 guest rating from two reviews. Expect a straightforward setup rather than anything flashy, with free WiFi to keep you connected and a 24-hour front desk that helps when your plans run late.

The property also gives you small, welcome extras for downtime: a terrace and garden where you can step outside, plus luggage storage so you can arrive early or depart after check-out without dragging bags around. Breakfast is available for a surcharge, which can be convenient if you want to start the day without hunting for a café immediately.

Location-wise, you’re well placed for exploring the Bilbao area. The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao is about 9 km away, while Parque de los Hermanos is roughly 0.5–1 km from the hotel for a quick green break. If you’re interested in Bilbao’s historic atmosphere, the Casco Viejo is around 11 km, and the Mercado de la Ribera is in the same general area.

Erreka Alde is best for solo explorers and couples who want a budget-friendly, low-fuss stay, and for travelers who plan to spend most of their time out in Barakaldo and Bilbao rather than in-room.
